“The City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) has just launched Phase 2 of their Third Sector Resilience Fund. This phase aims to provide short term support to small and medium sized third sector organisations in Edinburgh working to end poverty in the city who are facing financial challenges. In doing so, the fund aims to help organisations maintain financial resilience and service delivery during 2025/26.  The fund is to cover the period 1st September 2025 to 31st March 2026.

The application process opened at 12noon on Monday 16th June and closes at 1pm on Friday 4th July.

Robertson Trust's Community Spaces Fund
Funding is intended to support the running costs of local community centres, hubs or anchor organisations that are delivering and/or hosting a range of services and activities in places with high levels of deprivation. Examples of eligible work include:

  • The running costs of an accessible community hub based in a town with high levels of deprivation. The hub hosts and delivers services for local people, including community meals, family activities, a youth group and drop-in sessions with partner organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and local employability service.

  • The running costs of a village hall in a rural community where there are no other community facilities. The hall hosts a range of groups and services, such as a parent and toddler group, a food pantry, and warm space, and provides access to IT facilities.

Grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 per year for up to three years are available to registered charities working in Scotland.   Organisations should demonstrate the various services they deliver and/or host related to preventing or reducing poverty and trauma for local people.

The Co-op Local Community Fund is officially open and accepting applications for our latest funding round (Round 11). Our Local Community Fund enables our members to choose from around 2,500 new local causes and decide how a further £5 million will be shared across their communities from October 2025 to October 2026.£6,000 is available in every community and the funding will be shared between three local causes. The amount your project receives will be based on the number of Co-op members that choose your cause. Every cause will receive a minimum of £1,000.

You can apply if you're a not-for-profit group that needs funding to deliver a specific project that benefits your local community. We will only accept one application per group. If your funding application is successful, we'll work in partnership with you for 12 months to encourage Co-op Members to choose your cause. We’ll be looking to support projects that;

  • enable people to access food

  • create opportunities for young people

  • improve people’s mental wellbeing

  • promote community cohesion

  • build sustainable futures

As always, we’re also keen to support projects that promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion. The deadline for applications is midnight Sunday 6 July 2025.
