Description

We are looking for financial contributions to help us continue the service.

Donations enable us to provide sessions that are accessible and affordable to everyone with a breathing or lung disorder and can be made securely via our Just Giving page.

Who are The Warblers?

The Warblers is a singing group in East Lothian and Midlothian for anyone with a lung condition or who struggles with breathlessness, including those with long covid. We started in 2016 with some seed funding from the British Lung Foundation following research showing that regular group singing can improve the physical and emotional health of people with COPD.

The charity runs regular group singing sessions in Musselburgh and Dalkeith. Sessions are also available online via Zoom for those who cannot attend in-person.

ASK: Financial Assistance for Hire of Venue

The Midlothian group of The Warblers meets 30 times yearly in St John's and King's Park Church in Dalkeith. The venue's hire costs £30 per session. We are, therefore, requesting financial assistance up to £900.

Your contribution would allow us to continue our singing for lung health sessions. This venue is ideal for our needs with regard to accessibility and a safe, welcoming environment. The sessions have a positive impact on our participants' physical, social and psychological needs.

We have funds remaining until the early months of next year. Without assistance, our sessions may have to cease.
