Description

Newtongrange Guerrilla Gardeners are a voluntary community group brought together by a shared passion for brightening up our village, making it a greener and more welcoming place for all.

Their aim is to provide an opportunity for locals to work together to transform our public spaces and boost the well-being of all villagers.

They are passionately trying to regenerate an area of land off Main Street with an aim of creating a space which can be used by the community to help towards growing their own produce.

Requirements

Seating - Currently, the land has a small derelict wall that has been painted with a mural. They would love to be able to added seating on top of the wall, as alot of older members of the community use this area to have a rest when out.

This would improve the look of the wall as well as making it functional.

Planters - They would also like to add some large planters to the area so that they can increases their food sharing ability, this would be so, passers by can access free fruit and vegetables without feeling the obligation to help within the garden. They are aiming to to obtain 4-6 durable large scale planters.
