Support Elderly Community Keep Warm

Description

The Destiny Project is a registered mental health charity, which aims to provide support and advocacy to communities that endure high deprivation.  The Destiny Project prides itself on being a collaborative organisation and seeks to work with other agencies large and small, to provide as wide a range of services as possible, particularly for the most vulnerable in the community. 

 

Their intention is to promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people from all backgrounds, to promote and build skills that will create a positive impact on their lives by working around our outcomes within our focus areas:

• Health
• Poverty
• Education and Training
• Environment

 

"We aim to support service users to build personal skills such as confidence and self-esteem, vocational skills to compete in a changing and demanding job market, and life skills to help people live life positively and independently.  All our services are delivered using peer education and a community-centred approach. The services that The Destiny Project delivers are targeted mainly but not exclusively, at people that require additional support. " 

 

How can you support this group?

This year, the team are also trying to support the elderly members of their community by helping them keep warm. 

They are trying to collect warm blankets, gloves and scarves to be distributed to the elderly members of the community who need support. 

Donations can be dropped off at the office unitl the 10th of December
