Volunteer Awards Ceremony

Volunteer Midlothian

Status: Open Request
Location: Newbattle Abbey College
Town: Dalkeith

Description

We are looking for a commitment to co–sponsor the Midlothian Volunteer Awards event that takes place once a year as part of a national campaign. The Awards recognise and celebrate local volunteers aged 12+ and have been run for 18 years. Our dedicated sponsors are SQA, Health and Social Care Partnership, Esk Valley Rotary Club, Midlothian Council, EDF - Energy and Fire and Rescue Service. Our Patrons are the Midlothian Provost and the Lord Lieutenant for Midlothian, and our media supporter is Radio Forth. Newbattle Abbey College gifts us with the venue for this special event, and SQA prints programs.

We receive annual sponsorship from the above listed stakeholders, it ranges from £400 upwards depending on the scale of the organisation. As part of the event’s preparation, we support a student placement from Napier University. The event costs are £2.5 - 3k. We will be grateful for a sponsorship of any value really, however, we are aiming for higher value, certainty, long term mutual commitment and branding - 'Making your own’. This would mean your company advertising, and from our side – a delivery of a high-quality event alongside reputable partners and positive publicity. As a co- sponsor you will be in a good company.

In Midlothian formal volunteering in 2018 provided 3.1 million hours of free work that contributed £46.5 million to local economy. This cannot be taken for granted.

The next ceremony is due on the 5th of June 2025, but we would like to have the confirmation of co-sponsorship by the end of December 2024 to enable sound budget planning.

We have range of different Award Categories that are actively seeking a sponsor:
