Over the past few years, we have seen unprecedented increases in bills and food prices, which for many create a huge financial strain. Food banks or pantries are often the only lifeline for many community members, serving as an essential pillar of social infrastructure that provides a vital safety net and ensures nutritional security for the most vulnerable members of society.
If you or your organisation would like to support any of the food banks below, please get in touch.
What could your donation achieve? Here is an example from West Lothian Foodbank:
A recent donor donated £200 worth of food, which translated to 76kg of mixed non-perishable food items. The food bank reported that this donation will provide 182 meals, with each food parcel lasting three days. Therefore, this £200 donation provided food for 20 people for three days.
