Get behind the 'Big Give' Campaign

04 Dec 2025

The attainment gap in Scottish education—highlighted by the fact that only 65% of 2023-24 school leavers from the most deprived areas achieved a National 5 pass, compared to 91% from the least deprived—requires innovative solutions.
Archaeology Scotland's Attainment through Archaeology (AtA) programme offers just that. Through practical archaeology, AtA helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds develop vital transferable skills, enhance self-confidence, and improve their educational outcomes and overall health and well-being.

Archaeology Scotland have launched their campaign 'Big Give campaign. From now till December 9th any donations you make to their campaign will be doubled by match funding. That's right - DOUBLE the donation and DOUBLE the difference.

The campaign aims to raise funding to offer more opportunities for young people and their communities to participate in archaeology and help bridge the attainment gap.

By supporting this great project you will be helping young people to connect with their heritage, strengthen community ties, promote a sense of pride and belonging and develop skills for learning, life and work.
