Scottish Borders Focus

ESES Communities Portal - We are currently refreshing the www.esescommunities.org website and would like to ensure the Scottish Borders is well represented for suppliers seeking meaningful ways to give back through community benefit opportunities.

If your charity or community group operates in the Scottish Borders, we encourage you to register and submit a Community Benefit Request. This is a fantastic way to highlight your organisation’s needs—whether it’s volunteer support, donations of equipment, training opportunities, or other forms of assistance.

By showcasing your request, you’ll be more visible to suppliers delivering public contracts across the region who are looking for ways to make a positive impact locally. Learn more in our eligibility criteria section and register here.

Social Business Directory - Over the past two years, we’ve been developing our Social Business Directory to support inclusive and socially responsible procurement.

The directory is designed to help City Deal building contractors and suppliers easily identify and engage with Social Businesses that provide goods and services. Our aim is to make it easier for suppliers to buy from organisations that deliver real social impact.

We’re currently on version two of the directory, with version three scheduled for publication in September. As we continue to grow and improve this resource, we’re especially keen to hear from Social Enterprises and CICs that can offer products or services relevant to the construction sector — from catering and venue hire to waste management, signage, landscaping, and beyond.

If your organisation fits the bill, we’d love to connect and explore how you can be featured in the next edition.
