GRAHAM subcontractors help ESUB
GRAHAM is a privately-owned company that specialises in the delivery of construction and development projects across the UK and Ireland.
Corporate and social responsibility are key to their work, and they are proud of their positive impact on the communities in which they work by delivering community benefits.
Edinburgh School Uniform Bank
Edinburgh School Uniform Bank provides new school uniforms and other essentials to children in Edinburgh who are facing hardship. When a child goes to school in the “wrong” clothes, they are vulnerable to bullying, low self-esteem and poor mental health. The effects can be devastating.
Professionals like pupil support workers and social workers refer children and young people. They can choose six new items to help them fit in, look smart, feel confident, and do their best at school. Many children are living in poverty, and others need their help because they have had a sudden change of circumstances, like fleeing domestic abuse or moving into kinship care.

The Project
With GRAHAM Construction as the lead contractor, Brunstane Primary School in Edinburgh is undergoing a complete campus retrofit to become one of the city's greenest schools. The City of Edinburgh Council appointed GRAHAM as the lead contractor, and these improvements will enable the building to be carbon neutral in operation.

This has included repair works, new cladding on the external walls and roof, replacement of existing windows and curtain walling, and floor finishes and redecoration across the whole building. Accessibility to the building has also been improved by removing existing steps and introducing new ramps to specific areas around the school.
An air source heat pump and electric heating system have replaced the existing gas network, while photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the tower block have boosted the school’s sustainability credentials.
GRAHAM Constructions subcontractors including Nethan Access, PFP UK, AFS (Scotland) Ltd, HK & Sons Construction Ltd, Avtek Solutions, Fisher Plastering, Haymarket, Damada, ED-Core, Site Sealants, and OCS, all donated towards ESUB's ongoing need for school uniform supplies to help young people in the city. Their donations were the equivalent to a set of uniform for around 50 pupils, which is the equivalent of two whole classes full of pupils!

GRAHAM is proud to support the Edinburgh School Uniform Bank (ESUB) through our Brunstane Primary School project, identified via the ESES Communities Portal. A huge thank you to our amazing subcontractors for their generous donations: Nethan Access, PFP UK, AFS (Scotland) Ltd, HK & Sons Construction Ltd, Avtek Solutions, Fisher Plastering, Haymarket, Damada, ED-Core, Site Sealants, and OCS. Together, we’re helping local families and making a real impact.

We want to send a massive THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this donation. Families across Edinburgh are facing all sorts of challenges, and your support means that children can go to school wearing smart, clean uniforms instead of feeling ashamed of their clothes or bunking off. We rely on the generosity of the whole community to continue our work, and we really appreciate your contribution.
