As part of their contract with the University of Edinburgh, Thermo Fisher Scientific is committed to engaging in Community Benefits throughout Edinburgh and South East Scotland. They frequently review the ESES Communities Portal to help deliver these initiatives.

Within a recent batch of donations, they kindly offered to support the following organisation: 

 

Harmony Choir in Edinburgh was formed on the back of a research project conducted by the University of Edinburgh. The results of the project showed that participation in a singing group leads to improved mental health, well-being, and social relationships, as well as positive changes in self and social identity.

The choir often do performances outdoors and got in touch to request umbrellas so that they could continue their performances in all weathers.
