Cambridge Bioscience support River Kids

Cambridge Bioscience is a UK Distributor for Life Science products for medical research, based in Cambridge.

As part of their supply contract with the University of Edinburgh, they are asked to engage with the ESES Communities Team to explore opportunities for social value investment in Edinburgh and Southeast Scotland. This is the second year of collaborating.

Through this contact, they were introduced to River Kids.

 

 

River Kids was founded in 2005 with the sole purpose of supporting disadvantaged children and their families in the West Lothian area. 

Through their referral system, they provide recycled and new clothing, shoes, and toys to families who are struggling financially or, due to circumstances, have limited possessions.

They also provide volunteering and employment opportunities for young adults who are experiencing barriers to employment.

They manage the West Lothian Toy Appeal, which provides gifts on birthdays and at Christmas.

 

 

Cambridge Bioscience participated in their 2025 Christmas Toy Appeal and made a generous donation to help support families during the festive period.
