Cambridge BioScience Supports Foodbank
Cambridge BioScience is a leading supplier of life science research products, supporting organisations across the UK with specialist scientific solutions. Alongside its work within the scientific community, the company is committed to making a positive difference by supporting charitable organisations and local communities.
Through the ESES Communities portal, Cambridge BioScience learned about the work of West Lothian Foodbank, an organisation that exists to ensure no one in West Lothian goes hungry or without support. As part of the Trussell network, the foodbank provides emergency food and practical support to individuals and families facing crisis. In recent years, rising demand has placed increasing pressure on its services, with the need for support continuing to outstrip available resources.
Seeking help to restock essential supplies, West Lothian Foodbank added a request to our portal for food and financial donations to help meet growing demand and continue supporting local people in need.
Recognising the importance of the foodbank's work, Cambridge BioScience made a financial donation to support the organisation. The contribution has enabled the foodbank to purchase essential items in bulk, helping maintain stock levels during the challenging summer months and ensuring support remains available to those who need it most.
"This generous donation has made a real difference to our organisation. During the summer months, our stock levels can become very low, and having the funds available allows us to purchase the items we need in bulk.
This not only ensures we can continue providing vital support to those who need it but also makes things a little easier for our team.
We are extremely grateful for the support and the positive impact it has on our work.
Thank you to Cambridge BioScience for the donation. We truly appreciate your generosity and the difference you are making to our work."
