Description

Preston Lodge Learning Foundation is a Scottish registered charity working to enhance life chances of the young people in Preston Lodge High School and its wider community. We support and provide projects that enhance education and support our young people to reach their full potential, helping them to prepare for the world of work.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) is a tool to develop essential skills for life and work and is a recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers.

It is a  fundamental part of helping our young people to develop, and participation has been offered through Preston Lodge High School for over 15 years. It allows our young people the flexibility to try something completely new, help their community, test their limits, enhance their skills and grow their confidence.

The equipment the school has is ten years old. Many items have been repaired several times, and are not fit for purpose and we are keen to replace them.

Please could you support us with any of the following equipment?

• 10 x 3 berth tents

• 10 Thermal Foam Mats

• 8 Cooking Stoves and Gas Cartridges

• 10 Camping Rucksacks

• Ordnance Survey Maps

• 10 Compasses

• £25.50 would help one student facing financial barriers to participate in the programme.

We would be happy to use recycled equipment providing it is in good condition and working order.
