Donation For Edinburgh School Uniform Bank

Edinburgh School Uniform Bank provides new school uniforms and other essentials to children in Edinburgh who are facing hardship.

The School Bank helps children referred who are facing difficult situations which may result in lack of adequate or correct school uniforms. These children are vulnerable to bullying, low self-esteem and poor mental health which can have a long-lasting devastating effect.

Their service runs all year round, and they always need basic uniforms like skirts, jumpers and shirts. With a typical pack of uniform costs around £50. They can choose six new items to help them fit in, look smart, feel confident, and do their best at school.

During the winter months, they particularly need coats, hats, gloves, tights, vests, and other warm clothing, and in the summer, they get numerous requests for school bags and other “back to school” essentials.

Via donations, they can provide essentials, and businesses can make an immediate difference to local children and give them a chance to grow to their full potential.
Many children are living in poverty, and others need their help because they have had a sudden change of circumstances, like fleeing domestic abuse or moving into kinship care.

Kinetic had looked at a request on the portal for the School Bank and were very keen to get involved and make a donation which has helped make a really positive impact for children.

Thank you so much to Kinetic for your donation of £1500. This donation will support young people's confidence and participation in school activities. It will also enhance their inclusion and involvement in extracurricular activities, which will greatly impact their well-being.
