Bell Group supports UPMO
Bell Group are currently one of the largest property services contractors in the UK, both in terms of geographical coverage and its directly employed workforce. They are dedicated to doing what is right and not what is easy. They take pride in this, and they believe the success of their contracts is driven by community investment and the involvement of local people.
Through their work with the University of Edinburgh, they have been proactively collaborating with the ESES Communities Team and were keen to repurpose some monitors in the most effective way possible.
UPMO is an Edinburgh-based charity providing support and opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
UPMO's vision is an inclusive society where adults with learning disabilities and autism can thrive. Every week, they encourage their students to build confidence, use their imagination, and develop life skills through music, drama, art, IT, and digital, as well as other expressive and physical activities.
Bell Group dropped off five monitors at the Edinburgh office, and this is what Fundraising Manager Lisa Morrison had to say:
We received a donation of 5 computer monitors from Bell Group. This will directly assist around 10-15 operations staff based at our main office at Links House, who will benefit from additional monitors at hot desking stations. Indirectly, it will impact service users and other staff supported by the team. Thanks so much to the Bell Group for their kind donation, which has helped improve the IT set-up in our main office.
“We were delighted to support UPMO with a donation of recycled monitors. Giving equipment a second lease of life whilst helping an organisation that empowers adults with learning disabilities and autism is exactly the kind of practical, meaningful social value we strive to deliver.”
