Christmas Appeal

Description

East Lothian Roots and Fruits is a community-based group that works with individuals, families, and organisations throughout East Lothian, providing services to help them eat and live more healthily.

Appeal:

Our Christmas appeal is focused on families and elders in need, and would be delighted to receive donations of gifts/toys for children and elderly people or vouchers for food for families. We appreciate any help at all.

 

Background:

The project aims to tackle inequalities and address barriers to health by bringing its services to more people in the community, particularly those identified as having low incomes, being at risk, being isolated, and being hard to reach.

We launch a Christmas appeal each year to ensure that no child or elderly person goes without at Christmas. We cover rural areas throughout East Lothian and our local community.
 

Last year, 92 children and 84 elderly people received Christmas gifts, and we also gave families vouchers for food.

We aim to help them with food and gifts at Christmas to ensure no one goes without at Christmas. Santa comes to everyone.
