Fresh Start Christmas Appeal

Fresh Start help people who have experienced homelessness set up their new home through the provision of goods and services. We work to end the cycle of homelessness and for a better life for those living in poverty.

Each year, we help thousands of new tenants settle into their homes. This can only be achieved by the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of the donations we receive.

 

 

As Christmas approaches, many families in our community are struggling to make ends meet. The rising cost of living means that some will have to choose between keeping warm, paying bills, or creating a special Christmas for their loved ones.

Fresh Start’s Christmas Appeal aims to bring comfort, hope, and a touch of festive joy to those who need it most. Together We Can Make a Difference: Every tin of food, wrapped gift, and donated appliance helps bring warmth, dignity, and joy to someone’s Christmas.

Here are three ways you can get involved:

1. Donate Festive Food

We’re collecting non-perishable, in-date treats — such as chocolates, biscuits, and other festive goodies. Please make sure items are non-alcoholic and delivered/ready for collection by the 5th of December.

 

2. Host a Giving Tree

Set up a Christmas tree in your workplace, school, church, or community space. We’ll provide gift tags with ideas for presents, and you collect gifts to share with adults and families who might otherwise go without.

At Fresh Start, we like to give ideas, because we give the gifts you collect to our families to wrap themselves. This lets people feel the dignity and pride of knowing what their loved ones will receive on the day.

3. Support “Cookers for Christmas”

Please consider donating and sharing.
