Description

Eat Sleep Ride is a vibrant community facility nestled on a solar-powered farm along the picturesque south-south coastline of the Scottish Borders. Our mission is deeply rooted in harnessing the serene power of nature and the intuitive wisdom of our 18-strong herd of horses to foster therapeutic, educational, and professional growth.

At the heart of our ethos is a commitment to community cohesion, providing a sanctuary where experiential learning flourishes, empowering individuals and fortifying resilience.

Ask:

We seek support in a community-driven initiative we are currently undertaking. We are building a chicken coop, an exciting project to provide fresh, locally sourced eggs to our community.

However, to bring this project to fruition, we need additional materials to complete our chicken coop. These materials are crucial in ensuring the chickens' safe and sustainable environment. Any assistance in providing or sourcing these materials would be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us build a fence for the chicken coop. This is an integral part of the project, as it will ensure the safety and well-being of our chickens and, by extension, the quality of the eggs we plan to sell.

Why:

This project will benefit our community by providing fresh produce and as an engaging opportunity for community members to come together for a common goal. If you are interested in volunteering or know someone who might be, please get in touch with us. Every bit of help counts, and we would be delighted to have you be a part of this endeavour.

Tools Stolen:

Eat Sleep Ride are also requesting support following a recent break-in into their premises where they had the following tools stolen;

  • Jigsaw
  • Phillips screwdriver set
  • Blow torch
  • Wood-chopping axe
  • Wheelbarrow
  • Mallet
  • Pickaxe

Any donation or contribution towards repurchasing these would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for considering our request. We are excited about the potential impact of this project and look forward to any support you can provide.
