We are looking for a celebrity to say thank you to the local volunteers for their amazing contributions.  The Awards recognise and celebrate local volunteers from age 12 onwards and have been run for the last 18 years. Our dedicated sponsors are: SQA, Health and Social Care Partnership, Esk Valley Rotary Club, Midlothian Council, EDF - Energy and Fire and Rescue Service. In Midlothian formal volunteering in 2018 provided 3.1 million hours of free work that contributed £46.5 million to local economy this can not be taken for granted.

In 2022 we had Forth One presenters congratulating the Team of the Year and in 2023 they have also been involved and sent well wishes to all of the nominated volunteers for a well-deserved thank you.

We have approached First Minister of Scotland Humza Yousaf for his congratulations (but his political circumstances changed the course of action), as well as Taylor Swift and Kylie Minogue, but they were slightly busy with their tours.
